The Jerusalem Prayer List – April 8th, 2011

Today the Hamas shot more than 40 mortar bombs into the villages around the Gaza Strip. They shot a anti-tank rocket and aimed it at a school bus. The school bus had 50 children off-loaded just minutes before it was hit by the rocket. There were two people in the bus when it was hit, the bus driver and one child. The child died from shrapnels and the bus driver was wounded. Russian Grad rockets were shot at the city of Ashkelon, but Israel's new defence called “Iron Kipa” was able to explode the rockets in the air before they hit Ashkelon. There is a steady escalation of violence from Gaza and a daily barrage of rockets and mortars against villages and cities in Israel. Of course this escalation is probably a direct result of the changes in Egypt and in the whole Arab world. Israel must respond to this aggression and violence and when it does the world is going to condemn Israel for defending itself from the Hamas terrorism. At the same time there are more and more countries who are giving support and recognition to the Palestinian Authority to declare a one-sided declaration of the establishment of a Palestinian state on the boarders of the pre 1967 war. You would be surprised to find out who are the countries that have already given the Palestinian Authority this recognition. In other words, my dear brothers, Israel is in a real deep political and international trouble. If in September 2011 the world gives a one sided recognition to a Palestinian State based on the boarders of 1967 it would mean automatically that all Israeli and Jewish involvement, towns, businesses, settlements, would be immediately illegal according to international law. Israel needs your prayers now!
The Middle East and the Arab countries are all turning very fast. These popular revolutions are something to contend with. They could turn the whole Middle East into radical Islamic Jihadist terrorist countries or they could turn the whole Middle East into democracies. Everything is up for grabs right now, and only God can really intervene and set the course of history. So, prayer for the Arab countries and for their future alliances is also of such a great importance right now.
The Passover Holiday is right at our door. A week from Sunday it is Passover Eve. This Saturday our youth will be packing special backpacks (High Quality) full of goodies and items that Soldiers need and want distribute these backpacks to soldiers in the Army who are disciples of Yeshua. We are doing this already several years and we are happy to do it to bless our brothers and sisters who are serving in the Army. These young people are the most powerful disciples of Yeshua in the most important place with the most important example and inspiration to all of Israel. For Passover also we are giving a specially augmented food package to those who receive food from Netivyah. In this package there will be all Kosher for Passover items including a 2.5 kilo package of Matzot, and other specialties for Passover. There is no more powerful feast that points to God's salvation than the Passover. It is an old custom of giving charity to the poor in Passover and this year it is no different. We have needy families in our congregation and among the believers in Jerusalem and of course all of those who are fed by the Soup Kitchen. We appreciate so much all of you who support this effort and bless the poor of Jerusalem with your prayers and your support.

Last week was supposed to be the date of the Supreme Court Hearing of our case. Well, it was postponed until October this year. This is a real first class spiritual battle for the civil rights and basic democratic privileges of every citizen in every free and democratic country. However for us this is much more than just a court case in the Supreme Court of the State of Israel, it is actually a test of the very fiber of democracy in the State of Israel. If we as Jewish Disciples of Yeshua don't have the same rights and privileges as every other citizen this democracy is bankrupt. I have full faith in God and in the judicial system of Israel and believe that we will emerge out of this court with a great victory for freedom and democracy in Israel, but we do need your prayers and your support for the building fund. One little old lady in Seoul, Korea, said last year and was the first to actually do it. She said that if 1000 people would give 1000 dollars we would have the money that is necessary to build the building. I challenge you all to continue this good work that this little old Korean Sister started. Until now only a few have taken up this challenge, you might be next. We need to stand up and walk through this very important opportunity to preserve and protect the freedom of the future generation of Israeli Jews who will be Disciples of Yeshua in this land.
We have several who are with special financial needs in the Body of the Messiah in Israel and especially in Jerusalem. We have people from other congregations in Jerusalem who have urgent needs for rent, and for taxes that they have to pay, and for basic medical needs. We always try and do our best to help these brothers and sisters, but this time we ask you to do what you can to make it possible for us to continue helping the needy and poor brothers in Jerusalem an other parts of the country.
I am again teaching a full load every week and in other parts of Israel. There seems to be a revival of interest in the Restoration of the First Century faith of the Apostles. Please uplift me and Netivyah in your prayers because traveling up and down the country every week is not something normal for sixty five year old men. I need your prayer support.
In this season there are many who are sick with allergies and other illnesses connected with breathing. Please lift the sick in this season and among them both Marcia and I, Beth and Joey Shulam, Danah and Noaam. In fact almost all of the Shulam family needs your prayers for our health.
We continue to pray for healing and relief and help for many who have chronic illnesses and suffer from pain: Ruby, Paulo, Ishiida san, Ahuva, Liora, Leah, Ilana, Tim Tucker, Anna, Sharon, David, Sarit, David S., Ludmila, Merav, Hava, Jonathan, Daniel, Horac and June Saunders Marcia's perants in East Tennessee.
We have started to work on a new book. This new book is going to deal with the issue of Angles in general, but more specifically deal with the role and mission of Yeshua as the Son of God sent down to Earth to lead, teach, and save all of us and humanity. We need your prayers for this new book because it is dealing with a subject that a few have written about and a few have claims of understanding it.
God bless all of you and bless this season in your lives and also bring joy as you remember that Yeshua has risen from the dead and is sitting on the right hand of God Almighty Himself.
