By Joseph Shulam from Seoul, South Korea,

I am well! The Lord has given me a wonderful opportunity to teach and share in one of Korea’s finest Protestant Evangelical Churches in Seoul. In three days I gave about 20 hours of teaching. We went through the letter of Jacob (for the Anglo population – James) verse by verse. It was challenging for me and for the wonderful large crowed that came faithfully for three days sitting and learning together for nine hours the first day and seven hours the second day and four hours the third day. Every day there were amazing thing happening. Dr. M. Song, one of my hosts in Korea shared with the people about Netivyah’s need to raise money for the building project a little Korean Lady came up the next morning with an envelope and handed it to me saying that she would like to take part in the building project and that if 1000 people would give 1500 dollars it would supply the money needed to build and she wants to be among the first to do this. It was nothing short of inspiring to see this dear old lady, very old, step up to the plate and hit a home run.

Another very inspiring experience that I had on Sunday was in a small church in the woods just outside the center of Seoul. This small church made up from young families with many wonderful children who are so together and so dedicated that they would be the envy of any community has volunteered to fast and miss one meal per day and contribute the funds from those meals to Netivyah for the building. They committed to give 50,000 dollars for the building. Their children are a total inspiration and when they sing in Hebrew it would melt the heart of any Israeli Jew, may be of every Jew. While I was teaching in the seminar one of Israel’s finest corral groups came to sing for us during the seminar. It was wonderful to hear so many traditional songs in Hebrew sung in Seoul, Korea, and the people were inspired. After the singing of the group there were a few children from this little church in the woods, and I asked them to sing in Hebrew and they did. There was nary a dry eye among the Israeli singers. There were several who asked, ‘what is this – why do they learn Hebrew in Korea, why do they love us so much? Of course the answer is only one a Jew by the name of Yeshua saved these people from idolatry and introduced them to the God of Israel.

I would write much more but I have to go to another city and teach there now. Please pray for me, and for my family and for Netivyah and for Jerusalem and all of Israel. Please pray for Gilad Shalit and for the criminals that have been caught for bombing the Ortiz family and killing innocent people from pure racial prejudice that is inflamed and fanned by religious fanatics that give a bad name to the whole Jewish nation.

Please pray for the people on the sick list from the last few weeks, especially for Lonnie Smith and Kemi Muraoka and Ruby and Paulo and Ahuva, Lea, Miriam, Sara and Zvi, Sarit, and Tim Tucker and all the others that I didn’t mention now.

Please pray for my time in Hong Kong and China next week. Please pray for Netivyah and the Roeh Israel Congregation in Jerusalem. We have wonderful men of God there who are working hard and holding down the fort, David and the other David, Elhanan, Moran, Yuda, Yuri, Udi, Yitschak, and Ammikam, and all the wonderful women who are also working hard to make the congregation and Netivyah do the work.

I have to run now and that is why I can’t list all of them now.

God bless you my dear brothers and friends,

Joseph Shulam
