There has been seldom a period of history in which this land called the land of Israel was in peace. There was no peace here when Ezra and Nehemiah returned after the seventy years of exile in Babylon. The neighbors of Israel at that time objected to the return and harassed and terrorized those who returned even though they had a letter of commission from the Persian ruler of this land at that time. There was no peace in this land in the days of King Jehoshaphat or King Asa or any other Biblical period excluding the time that King Solomon ruled.
So, as we asked in the Passover Seder, What is different tonight from any other night? The situation in the Middle East and between the Arabs and Israel is not a new situation and I think that it will not be settled in our life-time unless the Messiah returns and delivers us.
Israel is plagued with corruption in the highest places and I have to ask you to pray for our land and government and the makers and shakers of this nation. I learned from my mother that a person cannot build his happiness on other people's misery. Israel has to clean up in order to see even greater blessings than God has already blessing us. Israel and we as Jews ought to be fulfilling the command of God to be a light to all the nations but we can't be a light without having the light. “He is the light of the World and in Him there is no Darkness.” We pray for Israel because we know that God loves Israel and is going to bless all those in the world who will pray for the Peace of Jerusalem.
I ask you to pray for our sick brothers and sisters in Jerusalem. We ask special prayer for B B who is a dear sister suffering from very strong pain that has not been diagnosed yet. We ask you to pray for our older sisters who are all above 80 years old and who need the merciful hands of God for healing, Ahuva, Ilana, Leah, and Liora, Sara and Zvi. We also have serveral older women who are suffering from chronic illness and they too need your prayers: Sarit, Marcia, Miriam, David, and David S. Please continue to pray for healing for June in Tennessee, and Ruby in Oklahoma, and Paulo in Brazil, and S Y in Hong Kong, and Barbara and Lonnie. Also don't forget to pray for my children and grandchildren, Barry and Beth and Joey, and Danah and Noaam.
We also ask you to pray for Kol HaYeshua Radio broadcasting. We are having problems with the programing and we need the energy and spirituality to produce first-class programs of Good News in the Hebrew language. I just finished to produce a series on what is called the Sermon on the Mountain for the Radio. There are many hundreds of people who speak Hebrew around the world who download our programs from the internet page of Netivyah: www.netivyah.org
The programs on Kol HaYeshua are in the Hebrew language for those who speak and hear Hebrew.
The Messianic Midrasha (our Bible School) has been basically sleeping because of lack of funds and also administration. We have had some irregular classes in the last year, but nothing very regular or formal. I ask you to pray for the Messianic Midrasha and ask God to bless this pioneering project for Adult education that will upgrade and train the Israel brothers how to live and how to share the Good News.
The Food Distribution program is back in full swing now and we have almost doubled the number of people who receive food. We bless hundreds of Jerusalemites with food, good food and many basic products, and you with your prayer and support make this so very important charity possible. Please pray for our city and nation so that there will not be a need for such charities like our Food Distribution.
Please pray for me during this last week. I shall be in the Borough Park Symposium in New York and I will be reading a paper on the deity of the Messiah. This is a very important forum because it will be a gathering of about 80 leaders of Jewish Disciples of Yeshua type congregations. After Borough Park the Lord willing I shall be flying to Odessa, Ukraine to teach there in a school connected to MJBI. I need your prayers for this teaching too because it is so intense and so demanding.
The battle for our building in Jerusalem is continuing and we need your prayer for us and for the city of Jerusalem. I believe that if the playing field would be plain we would win hands down, but as I wrote earlier there are so many other factors in and around city hall. We just ask for God's blessings upon us and upon what needs to be accomplished according to His will and provision. Please pray for us and for the city of Jerusalem.
I will end this prayer list by blessing you and blessing your faith and health in Yeshua's name!
