Yesterday the District court of Jerusalem ruled that Jack Taitel is not mentally competent to stand trial for murdering two Palestinians and two Israeli Policemen and putting bombs in the home of Professor Sternhal and in the Ortiz home in Ariel. In the home of the Ortiz family Ami their youngest son was horribly wounded on Purim day 2008. The only reason that Jack Taitel put the bomb in the home of the Ortiz family in Ariel is because they are Jewish Disciples of Yeshua the Messiah. In addition to these horrible deeds of terrorism Jack Taitel also put bottles of poisoned juice in Arab villages, and also supported and may be participated in the murder of several gay youth in Tel-Aviv. All these acts of Orthodox Jewish Terrorism were well planned and the bombs that he put were professionally constructed. It took the Israeli intelligence community several years to catch Jack Taitel. He was no dummy to be able to fool the Israeli intelligence services which are some of the best in the world. But, yesterday the court decided that Mr. Taitel not mentally competent to stand trial. What has happened to our psychiatrists? Has the world gone upside down? Has Jerusalem become Sodom and Gomorrah? It is Isaiah the prophet who addressed the leaders of Jerusalem in the Eight Century B.C.E. with these words: "Hear the word of the LORD, You rulers of Sodom; Give ear to the law of our God, You people of Gomorrah:" (Isa. 1:10)
The court could not have been prejudiced against Jewish Disciples of Yeshua because the case of the Ortiz family as horrible as it is, is not the worst thing that Jack Taitel did in the last ten years. He actually murdered at least seven people, both Jews and Arabs, gay and straight. Jack Taitel also fooled the polygraph test and he confessed that he did it by reading material on how the polygraph works. Could it be that Jack Taitel is so smart that he could play crazy and fool the doctors? Could it be that the court would be influenced by some political aspirations that would be so forgiving to a confessed murderer of both Jews and Arabs? I don't know the answer to these questions. I do know that like in the First Century C.E. we cannot trust the world's system. There are always forces that prey on the just and righteous children of God, and there are always forces that don't love the truth and God gives them over to spirits of self deception. Yeshua stated the following about His generation: Matt. 12:39, "But He answered and said to them, "An evil and adulterous generation seeks after a sign, and no sign will be given to it except the sign of the prophet Jonah."
Matt. 12:41-42, "The men of Nineveh will rise up in the judgment with this generation and condemn it, because they repented at the preaching of Jonah; and indeed a greater than Jonah is here. The queen of the South will rise up in the judgment
with this generation and condemn it, for she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and indeed a greater than Solomon is here." Matt. 16:4, "A wicked and adulterous generation seeks after a sign, and no sign shall be given to it except the sign of the prophet Jonah." And He left them and departed." Matt. 17:17, "Then Jesus answered and said, "O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? How long shall I bear with you?"
These statements are just a few from the words of Yeshua that speak of His generation. We must return and teach and preach that there is not much on which the Disciples of Yeshua can lean on this world. The Orthodox Jews have printed a sticker that is seen on many cars in Jerusalem, "We have no ONE to lean on (trust) other than on our Father in Heaven." The churches have actually in many ways followed the world and incorporated the world into the church. It has been a few years now since, C. Leonard Allen , Richard T. Hughes , Michael R. Weed, wrote the book the Worldly Church things have not improved much. The church has only very few choices and the only real choice is to go back to the blue-print and look at the New Testament and follow.
We need to pray for Israel's glorious court system to be all that it can be. Pray the righteousness and justice will be again a standard that Israel is known for. Pray that the Disciples of Yeshua will raise up above the maddening crowed and shine.
Please pray for our building project. We are beginning to prepare for the hearing in the High Court of Justice that will be held in October. We need to have the funds for the building because as soon as we get the approval of the court we ought to immediately start the building. Right now we have received a third of what we need for the building. We need another million dollars. Please talk to your church leaders and tell them the importance of Jerusalem for the Kingdom of God, show them Romans 15:26-27. Share with them that the New Testament teaches "To the Jew First and also to the Greek."
Please pray for the sick. I keep saying that this is a big Mitzvah (good deed) to pray for the sick and for those who cannot return the favor. We have our dear sister Deborah in Philadelphia, and Ruby in Oklahoma, and Paulo in Brazil, and in Jerusalem, Sara and Zvi, and Ahuva, Leah, Ilana, Miriam, Marcia, Sarit, David S. and David, and Liora. In California we continue to pray for Danah and Noaam. I would like to ask you all to pray especially for a dear friend who lives in San Antonio, TX. His name is Lynn A. He is a true friend of God and our personal friend. He is dealing with cancer and God alone can help him and we say, "Yes God help Lynn!" I ask you to pray for those among us who don't have jobs and who need a financial breakthrough: A & R. T. family, and D.F., and J & R. M., and A.W., and M & N. G. all faithful brothers and sisters who need a touch of God's grace in their lives right now. Netivyah is not specifically known as a social help organization although we probably do as much as any in Israel who have specifically this kind of ministry. God can use anyone and everyone to bless the needy and poor.
Kol HaYeshua has changed the programming and we are receiving more responses especially from people who live very far away from Israel and get the teaching on the internet. We have Hebrew speaking people, both Jews and non-Jews around the world who enjoy the teaching of Netivyah on the Radio through the internet web page: www.netivyah.org
The challenges of ministry never stop here in Israel and the blessings of God also never stop. I pray that God would use me every day to do something good for His Kingdom. I recommend to you to pray the same prayer. Remember what God promised to Abraham in Genesis chapter 12 and trust God that he keeps His promises.
Blessings to you from Jerusalem,
Joseph Shulam
