The Jerusalem Prayer List – December 30th, 2010
The year 2010 is ending. This is the last prayer list that I am writing this year. This year of 2010 has been full of many good things that have brought blessings to the Kingdom of God. Here are some important facts of our ministry in 2010.

We have prepared near 340 different radio programs and broadcast them from Kol HaYeshua Radio. The programs include teaching, and exegesis of the Bible, and historical background, and special lectures and Messianic Jewish Music.

The food program of Netivyah has prepared and given out 185,000 meals this year. Most of the people who received food from Netivyah's Soup Kitchen are older Russian immigrants, single mothers, and disabled.

We have published books this year, the “Hidden Treasures” that was translated to four different languages. The second book that has just come out of the press is, “God, Israel, and the church.” This book is coming out almost simultaneously in Hebrew and English. Netivyah has also published this year the Teaching from Zion magazine on several important topics. The last Teaching from Zion was on the issue of the Marrano / Anussim Jews in Portugal and the conference that we held in Castelo de Vide. We also did this year two issues of magazine in Hebrew called “Davar Aher” - in English it would mean “Something else.” These materials are very unique because they introduce to the body of the Messiah in Israel and around the world topics that are not so common in Christian discussions. We have discussed the First Century A.D. Jewish Hermeneutics of the New Testament and also the issue of Replacement Theology and the Ecclesiology in relationship with the nation of Israel.

The Munchkins under the leadership of Yuda have ben meeting every week and some even every day. The Lord's Club that we have built next to our offices is often busy every day with youth who come to to spend time off the streets in a Godly environment.

In the year 2010 we have given 10 scholarships to believing students who study in one of Israel's institutions of higher learning. Each scholarship is 2000 dollars per year. The rational behind these scholarships is that we want to see the brothers in Israel get a higher education and improve the socio-economic makeup of the believers in Israel. We have over the years seen both Jewish and Arab students graduate and succeed in the fields of law, sociology, psychology, art, technology, plumbing, nursing, tour guiding, and other fields. This is not charity it is investment in the future of the Body in Israel. We already have applications for 2011 and we pray that with God's help we will be able to fulfill these applications and continue to bless Israel.

All of the above activity in 2010 is just a part of the specific projects that Netivyah is doing here in the land of Israel. Of course we have done the conference in Portugal and it was a great success and the ripples and waves from that conference are spreading in Spain, Finland, England, and of course in Portugal. However, Netivyah is keeping a close relationship with brothers and sisters in many countries in the world and ministering to Disciples of Yeshua all around the world, from Australia to Finland, and from Brazil to Japan and Korea.

I write to you my dear brothers and sisters these things as a kind of a year end report because I know that you are praying for us and for the salvation of Israel and I know that you are also sacrificing so that we can continue the Lord's work. One of the most wonderful things that we have is the next generation leadership of Yuda, Udi, Moran, Uri, Zvi, and David, and the youth that is now either in the military or going into the military and excelling in all that they are doing as Disciples of Yeshua and proud to be so.

I ask all of you to continue praying for Netivyah and for Israel, continue praying for the leadership of this ministry and our families and children. Please continue to pray for our wonderful and dedicated staff of people who work hard to make this ministry all that it can be. Pray for Udi, Ludmila, Nancy, Yuda, Shaul who is in morning for losing his sister yesterday, Hannah, Beth, Reuven, Misha and of course me. We need the Lord's protection and blessing and provision in all things spiritual and physical because without His help we would be totally lost.

We have a great year ahead of us with so many challenges and expectations for wonderful things to come. Some of the challenges are to win the court case in the Israeli Supreme Court that is scheduled for the end of March, and to start building immediately and renovating our building to make it fit more our needs. This victory is not a self understood truth it is a real issue of spiritual warfare for the good of all of Israel, democracy in this country, civil rights, human rights, and freedom of faith and religion. The other challenges are to raise the necessary funds to do the building, and to have the continued funds to be able to feed the poor of Jerusalem. We are also challenged to be able to help poor children who need eye-glasses and older generation immigrants and poor who need dental care. All of these things will be done in cooperation with the social services of the city of Jerusalem and they will not be directed as subversive activities to convert Jews into some Christian denomination or sect. Our humanitarian work is to be a hands on direct blessing to the poor of Jerusalem because this is our task and calling and commandment and example from the Word of God.

We are also constantly challenged with the needs of the elderly and sick among us. In the last two days we have prayed and continue to pray for two younger women who have been diagnosed with breast cancer. Please pray for Adina who is a widow alone in Israel with two children who has a second bout with cancer. Please also pray for M who is very young and has been discovered to have a cancerous lump in both breasts. We continue to pray for Liora, Ahuva, Leah, Ilana, Sarit, and Marcia all from Jerusalem. We continue to pray for Ruby our dear sister in Oklahoma who is suffering for so many years so much pain. We also continue to pray for our dear brother and teacher Tim Tucker who is in Finland, and Paulo who is in Brazil, and Ishiida San in Japan, and Mrs. Abe's mother in Japan. There is a much longer list of people that each one of us is praying for but I am sure that you have your own list of people for whom we don't stop praying. Please understand that each one of us is an intercessor and a warrior for God's Kingdom and we all have our guard watch over the flock and relationships that God has given us.

May the God of Israel, the God of the living and not of the dead, bless you with His presence in your life and give you His peace and His prosperity, and above all the real sense and feeling of His close walk with you and you with Him.

Happy New Year for the whole World and especially for you and yours,

Joseph Shulam
