This is the evening before ThanksGiving holiday in the USA. Marcia and I shall be in East Tennessee with Marcia’s family. Marcia has three brothers and each has several children and now all her nieces and nephews have their own children. The Thanksgiving tables will have about 40 people. I have not been in the American Thanksgiving Holiday with Marcia’s family for more than 10 years. So, for me this is a new experience and for sure it is a refresher course in being grateful and thankful to the Lord and to so many people who have been my teachers and my friends and supporters of the Netivyah ministry from around the whole World. So, I am thankful to the Lord for His Mercy insures for ever, but I am also thankful to the Lord for you my dear brothers and sisters who have been praying and supporting Netivyah and us personally. May the Lord God of Israel bless each and everyone of you who stand with God’s people, with Jerusalem, and Israel, and for the Restoration of Israel and the Church. The restoration of one can’t work without the other because the New Testament Church was both geographically and spiritually connected with God’s promises of the Messiah to Israel. Our whole Bible is in relationship to Israel as a land and as a spiritual home and heritage. I am thankful for God’s wonderful family of men who are connected to each other with the Blood of Yeshua the King of the Jews.
This week the reading in the Synagogues is called Hayey Sarah, the Life of Sarah, Genesis 23-25:18. It is the story of Sarah’s death and burial in the Cave of Machpela in Hebron. Sarah stands out from every other woman in the Bible. She is a woman most involved in every aspect of her husbands life and activity. There is not one story in the life of Abraham that Sarah was not somehow involved in and influenced the outcome of everyone of the events in Abraham’s life. She was really the most liberated woman that was as important to the life and narrative of her husband Abraham as much or even more than anyone else in his life. Read about the purchase of the cave of Machpela from Ephron the Hittite in Hebron. When you read the book of Genesis please notice how involved Sarah is in every episode of Abraham’s life.
Our son Barry will have surgery on December 6th, in Hermitage hospital. This is a complicated and not easy surgery and recovery. I ask you all to pray for Barry and of course continue to pray for all my family, Marcia, Danah, Noaam, Joey, and Beth, and for me too. We all have health issues to deal with and we all could use a divine hand God to touch us with healing.
Please keep praying for the President Elect Mr. Donald Trump and the United States of America. The United States is important globally and there is the proverb in Judaism, that gave rise to the statement of Yeshua to the women of Jerusalem: “For if they do these things in the green wood, what will be done in the dry?” (Luke 23:31) The interpretation of this text is: If the righteous of this world, the green wood (tree), suffer (catch on fire) what will happen to the dry trees – those who are unrighteousness and fear man more than they fear God.
Pray for Netivyah in Jerusalem. We face several important challenges that are both spiritual and material. We have to replace the Netivyah cars. The van is used for shopping for the Food Distribution Program of Netivyah. We buy one and a half tones of meat, and one and a half tons of fruit and vegetables and meat and we need a van. The van that we have we have been driving it hard for 14 years. It is time to change the van and get a new van. This is really only one of these challenges.
Please don’t forget to continue praying for the whole Middle East. The situation in Syria and Iraq is still going on and people are murdered every day by the hundreds. I realize that in the West everyone and all the Media is still dealing with the President Elect Mr. Donald Trump, but the world is going on and people are suffering and a disaster is brewing.
Pray for the Roeh Israel Congregation in Jerusalem. The congregation and Netivyah need your prayers. The challenges that we face are big because the opportunities are bigger and because we are right now in the eye of the good storm that is overtaking our nation. We are waiting for the opening of Aliyah from the Latin American countries. We are waiting for other wonderful developments in our land that will open doors of opportunity to Jewish disciples of Yeshua in this great God given land.
Please keep praying for the suffering of illness and in need of healing and for those in need of economic healing and business and employment.
Today I got a note that a dear Jewish Brother Ger Linterman passed away and is now with in the best hands of our merciful and gracious God. Please pray for Ester his daughter and for Marian his beloved wife. Ger translated some of my books to Dutch and we are eternally grateful for this dear brother and for his family.
I would like to ask you to pray for some friends who have a need for God’s blessing on their work: Chung and Sister Lee. I have special concern for our dear brother Goh and his family, and for Sister Christy, Sister Laurel, and for Brother Michael Kenzevic. Please include our dear friend Daniel L. and all his endeavors in your prayer and also Wes who needs work urgently. I know that God is hearing our prayers, but I don’t know yet if our prayers are sufficient to bring the full blessing of the Lord of the Universe upon these brothers and sisters who are with special needs. Please keep a fervent prayer for the brothers listed above and for those who have health issues and need healing.
